I am a scholar, educator, and human rights advocate, passionate about the intersections of gender, technology, AI, and global justice. Over the past 12 years, I have combined research, activism, and education to illuminate how power, inequality, and authoritarian systems operate worldwide, and to design strategies that promote accountability, equity, and meaningful change.
My work spans multiple continents and disciplines. As a Programme Manager at WITNESS, I lead regional initiatives in the Middle East and beyond, developing tools, trainings, and campaigns that empower activists, NGOs, and communities to document and respond to human rights abuses effectively. I have pioneered advocacy video projects, digital strategies, and partnerships that have amplified marginalized voices and brought critical issues to global attention.
Academically, I am pursuing a PhD in Global Studies at the University of Leeds, focusing on gender, sexuality, and power under authoritarian regimes. My research bridges theory and practice, examining how urban spaces, policing, and media intersect with the lives of marginalised individuals in politically constrained contexts. I hold an MA in International Relations from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Diploma in NGO Management from Cairo University, along with a PMP certification and training in diversity, inclusion, and digital advocacy.
Beyond research and program leadership, I am deeply engaged in educating and mentoring the next generation of activists, scholars, and communicators. I combine my expertise in technology, AI, and media with a commitment to human rights, guiding teams and communities to navigate complex challenges, design impactful projects, and translate critical ideas into action.
Through my work, I aim to connect scholarship with advocacy, technology with justice, and ideas with tangible, positive change, creating frameworks and strategies that inspire, empower, and transform.
